Dorothy Sherman

Vocals and Flute

Dorothy sang in church choirs and school choruses as a youngster and made a late return to music in 1998. Studying music fundamentals and vocal basics at Essex community college, she would discover that previous writing courses contribute to good lyrical songwriting.

She next began singing backup for voice instructor Annie Eidolon. A year and half after that, the two of them joined Barb and Tommy Singer and Tom Flemming to form "Crying Backwards," a band which mixed classic rock with some pretty classy originals.

Now, as Dorothy returns to her folk roots to sing lead for Luan Aleen, she adds some of her original songs to the mix.
