The Goblins

Old stories tell that Goblins are small monster-like creatures. They are known for playing cruel evil tricks on humans. Sometimes Goblins were known to steal or trick humans into giving away their children. Any child that fell into a Goblins claws would be turned into a Goblin...thus they increased their number.

Roleplaying and Fantasy have made the Goblin a little different but no less nasty. They are seen as a small ugly race with no redeeming qualities. They are beast-like but are able to use weapons and such. They are often used by evil creatures of power as henchmen to do the more dangerous or more disagreeiable tasks. In roleplaying games they attack villages and do other acts of violence.
